Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and required Level I Trauma experience for a fast-paced radiology department.
Details
- CT Scan department within a Level I Trauma center
- Adult acute care, outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU patient populations
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- No call requirements
- Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS imaging system
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT(CT), ARRT(R), and BLS certifications required
- Level I Trauma experience required; Level II Trauma experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- VA state license required (license required if applicable); pending licenses accepted
- Proficiency in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurement preferred
- Experience performing abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and cardiac CT studies preferred
- Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, and radiation safety practices
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and cardiac/vascular imaging
- May be required to float within clinical scope of practice as needed
- Up to 40 hours of RTO permitted per 13-week contract
- 50-mile radius rule applies for this unit
- Previous UVA staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
- Orientation includes up to 16 non-billable, specialty-specific training modules
- BSN preferred
