We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable VPK Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. The VPK Teacher will support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development while preparing them for a successful transition to kindergarten.


Responsibilities


  • Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging VPK lessons and activities.
  • Follow Florida VPK standards and curriculum requirements.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
  • Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior.
  • Encourage language, literacy, mathematics, science, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, developmental, and classroom records.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians.
  • Monitor children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom.
  • Work cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
  • Follow all center policies and applicable Florida childcare and VPK regulations.
Qualifications


  • Meet Florida VPK teacher qualification requirements.
  • Required early childhood education credentials or coursework as applicable.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
  • Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
  • Patient, dependable, nurturing, and enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Ability to pass required background screening and meet applicable childcare employment requirements.
