Job Description
- Partner with practice group leaders, partners, and professional development teams to identify attorney training needs and development priorities.
- Design and oversee transactional training curricula tailored to different attorney levels, practices, and functions.
- Create engaging in-person and digital learning experiences that strengthen practical legal skills and professional judgment.
- Develop transactional matter simulations that give associates meaningful opportunities to build experience and confidence.
- Evaluate training programs, associate feedback, and performance data to continuously improve professional development initiatives.
- Lead needs assessments, focus groups, surveys, and learning analytics to identify opportunities and measure program effectiveness.
- Support onboarding and integration programs for new and lateral transactional attorneys.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure professional development programs align with business priorities and evolving legal market trends.
- Manage and mentor direct reports and junior professional development team members.
- Stay current on innovative learning technologies, professional development practices, and trends affecting transactional legal training.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) and active bar license in the state where you live.
- 4+ years of experience as an associate.
- 2+ years of corporate or transactional law experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
