EXPERIENCED FITTER/FABRICATOR WANTEDMetal Fabrication Shop

Mid Atlantic Metals, LLC. is looking for a qualified and experienced Fitter/Fabricator to join our team.

We are seeking someone with strong fabrication skills who can read drawings, accurately fit and assemble metal components, and take pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble structural and miscellaneous metal components
• Layout and prepare materials for fabrication
• Tack and weld components as required
• Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools
• Ensure fabricated pieces are properly aligned, squared, and dimensioned
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality
• Work with other members of the fabrication team to meet production schedules
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a metal fitter/fabricator is required
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and fitting techniques
• Experience working with structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
• Ability to accurately measure and use layout tools
• Welding experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, hardworking, and dependable
• Ability to safely lift and handle materials as required
