Assembly Operator I
Pay: $16.50/hour 
Location: Blum, Tx 76627
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Summary
The Assembly Operator I assembles perforating products according to established procedures, set-up sheets, production schedules, and quality standards. This position operates tools and equipment safely, inspects components and finished products, maintains a clean and organized work area, and works collaboratively to meet production goals. The role requires attention to detail, consistent physical activity for assembly, and strict adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble perforating products and components according to set-up sheets, specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Perform assigned operations on Gun Line, Through Wire, Manual TSA, and other production processes as required.
  • Read, understand, and follow set-up sheets, work instructions, safety rules, operating procedures, and other technical documents.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Safely operate and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
  • Rotate through production tasks and workstations as needed to support production requirements.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently while maintaining established production and quality standards.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, quality, PPE, and 5S requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
  • Participate in required safety, production, and on-the-job training.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and management to identify and resolve production, quality, or safety concerns.
  • Represent professionally and uphold Company values and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Education and/or Experience
  1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. 0–2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or related experience preferred.
  3. Ability to read and understand safety rules, work instructions, operating procedures, and technical documents.
  4. Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce accurate, quality work.
  6. Good hand and finger dexterity for assembly tasks.
  7. Ability to maintain an appropriate production pace while meeting quality requirements.
  8. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  9. Dependable work habits and consistent attendance.
  10. Willingness and ability to participate in ongoing training and learn additional production processes.
  11. Must be able to obtain and maintain required ATF clearance.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  1. Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods, including shifts of eight or more hours.
  2. Ability to lift, carry, or transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  3. Ability to regularly use hands, arms, and shoulders, including fine motor skills.
  4. Ability to kneel, crouch, twist, bend, reach overhead and at shoulder level, and walk extended distances.
  5. Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and in moderate-to-loud noise environments.
  6. Ability to maintain concentration and perform work accurately in a fast-paced or distracting environment.
  7. Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changing workplace conditions
Safety and PPE Requirements
 
This position may involve exposure to workplace hazards or conditions requiring personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Company safety protocols and applicable OSHA standards
  1. Proper use, care, and maintenance of required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, boots, and other protective equipment.
  2. Ability to properly fit and work while wearing required PPE.
  3. Follow lockout/tagout and other established safety procedures.
  4. Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
  5. Ability to understand and follow detailed safety instructions and protocols.
  6. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
