Surgical Technologist

Provides technical support to the surgeon, registered nurses, and anesthesiologist in the operating room and works to create a safe and sterile environment before, during and after patient surgery.  

Performs tasks like:

·        Ensures that all supplies and equipment needed for the procedure are present and in working order. 

·        Assists with inventory and pulling cases

·        Sets up and maintains sterile field according to established practices

·        Assists with patient positioning and draping

·        Passes instruments, supplies and equipment to the surgeon

·        Perform counts, prepare and handle sterile dressings

·        Assist other team members with turn over of the operating room
