Imagine the Shift You Run
It’s 1:55 PM. You’ve checked the plan, walked the line, and confirmed every station is ready. At 2:00 PM, the team kicks off. You coach through the first setups, spot a bottleneck, and jump in to keep product moving. You update the team board, call a quick huddle to review OEE and priorities, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering to clear a downtime risk. By 10:00 PM, you’ve hit the schedule, verified paperwork and data, and closed the day with a clean, safe, 5S-ready area.
Your Schedule2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Overtime as needed.
What You’ll Own- Results across safety, production output, productivity, quality, and Lean/5S for your area.
- Complete training for your team on safety, standard work, equipment operation, troubleshooting, setup, productivity, quality, and production tracking (paperwork and digital).
- On-the-spot expertise—step in to operate or problem-solve to keep the operation smooth.
- Daily visual management—keep the team board current and leverage production tracking tools on the shop floor.
- Schedule fidelity—ensure each work center follows the plan to meet daily and shift targets.
- Team huddles—share goals, OEE, past-due work, plant updates, and improvement ideas.
- Paperwork precision—collect, verify, and submit accurate documentation and data to your supervisor.
- Safety and compliance—ensure people and equipment meet all safety requirements; conduct audits and uphold housekeeping.
- Continuous improvement—lead proactive 5S efforts and data-driven initiatives to sustain 85%+ OEE.
- Strategic involvement—participate in product launches, required meetings, and High Performance Work Teams.
- Cross-functional partnership—work closely with management, engineering, maintenance, quality, and logistics/scheduling.
- Culture stewardship—promote company values and the employee handbook.

- Accuracy and completeness of paperwork and data submissions
- 5S/Lean audit results

- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of hands-on production/manufacturing experience
- Clear communication with all levels, including management
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Able to read and interpret work instructions
- Basic math skills
- Ability to define problems and apply formal problem-solving techniques
- Upholds organizational values and adheres to the employee handbook
- Dependable: follows directions, meets deadlines, flags roadblocks, and takes ownership of the area—even working extra hours when required
- Organized: plans work, prioritizes, finishes what’s started, and maintains an orderly environment
