Job Description

Summary: Primary function is to Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on all production machinery. Will also be required to assist general maintenance on occasion.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, and wiring.

·       Inspect and repair production and support equipment.

·       Assists in equipment modifications.  

·       Disassemble and reassemble equipment for the purpose of rebuilding.

·       Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as drills, wrenches, or equipment such as                              precision measuring instruments or electrical testing devices.

·       Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, machinery, or equipment.

·       Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hand tools, or                              power tools.

·       Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or                          parts catalogs, as necessary.

·       Plan and lay out repair work, using drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematic diagrams.

·       Perform general cleaning duties of buildings and properties.

·       Work with Vendors when needed to acquire parts.

·       Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, or other                                  measuring instruments.

·       Other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience required (has to                        be industrial, cannot be residential).

·       Experience in Troubleshooting and PLC programming required.  Prior experience providing support for                              facilities, buildings, and equipment maintenance.

·       Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication.

·       Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

·       Must be able to satisfactorily Pass Oppermann forklift Certification.

·       Must regularly lift up to 50lbs unassisted and move up to 500lbs with mechanical assistance.  Must be able                      to adapt to temperature changes.  Close, distance, color and peripheral vision required.
