Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath, EP, IR, and neuro experience for an acute care hospital setting requiring ARRT(R) or RCIS certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma designation and Magnet recognition
- Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization including STEMI, IABP, Impella, and Tandem Heart cases
- Structural heart procedures such as PFO closure, TAVR, and MitraClip
- Interventional radiology procedures including lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
- Neurointervention and cardiac rhythm management (CRM) device implants
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with some Saturdays included as part of the regular schedule
- On-call required one shift per week and every fourth weekend
- May float within scope to Interventional Radiology and EP, as well as to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Charting performed in Epic
- Philips X-ray system preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required
- License required if applicable, and must be active at time of consideration
- EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Hepatitis B vaccination required; titers or declinations not accepted

- Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- Only one time off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must meet the 50-mile radius requirement
- Maximum assignment length of 1 year at this facility, followed by a required 6-month break before returning for another assignment
