Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Rad Tech for a Cath Lab position requiring ARRT-R certification and Epic experience.

Details

  • Cardiac Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
  • Variable shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Requires Epic experience

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Cath Lab experience required, with recent experience in the specialty within the last 3 months
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • One year of catheterization experience preferred
  • ARRT-R certification required
  • RT license required in state of practice
  • Current Fluoroscopy license required within 6 months of hire
  • BLS certification required from an approved vendor
  • License required if applicable
  • Active, unrestricted license in state of submission required
  • Cerner and Epic experience must be noted in employment history if applicable

Additional Information

  • Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders through invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing
  • Operate x-ray and physiological equipment including C-Arm and angiographic injectors
  • Monitor, record, and evaluate patient vital signs throughout procedures
  • Maintain radiation safety standards using collimation, patient protection, and immobilization techniques
  • Maintain sterile and aseptic techniques, following isolation and infection control procedures
  • Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on cath lab equipment
  • Assist cardiologists, radiologists, or physicians during special procedures including administration of contrast media
  • Act as a resource for specialized or complicated procedures and share best practices with team members
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
  • Candidates with a prior adverse action on their license will not be considered
  • Accepts local candidates with no radius rule, as local rates match travel rates
