Beaufort, SC – Interventional Radiology Tech (Day Shift | IR + Cath Lab Float | Call Required)
Quick Glance:
- Schedule: 5x8s (Monday–Friday)
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Call: Evening, night, weekend, and holiday call required
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Interventional Radiology / Cardiac Cath Lab
- Experience: 2+ years required
- Charting System: Meditech
Scope of Role:
- Perform and assist with interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Scrub and circulate during a variety of IR and Cath Lab cases
- Float between IR and Cath Lab based on departmental needs
- Provide high-quality patient care for adult and geriatric populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms for IR and Cath Lab cases
- Maintain sterile technique during invasive procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to emergencies
- Accurately document procedures within Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in call rotation and weekend coverage as required
Must-Have Credentials:
- ARRT (R) certification
- South Carolina state radiation license (SCRQSA)
- Active BLS (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Strong scrub and circulating experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- ACLS and PALS certifications
- Experience in both IR and Cardiac Cath Lab environments
Patient Population:
- Adult and geriatric patients
- Variety of interventional and cardiac-based procedures
Additional Details:
- Floating required between IR and Cath Lab
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local radius rule applies (50 miles)
- Orientation includes non-billable pre-employment modules and on-unit training
- Time-off requests must be submitted and approved prior to assignment
