Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Level II Trauma acute care hospital, requiring BLS, ACLS, and ARRT or RCIS certification.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, and Interventional Radiology services
  • Cases include STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip), CRM device implants, and neurointervention
  • Interventional radiology procedures include lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity work, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including some Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
  • On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend
  • May float within scope to Interventional Radiology and EP as needed
  • Uses Philips X-Ray system, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP
  • Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, EP, IR, vascular, monitoring, and neuro procedures required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with rhythm interpretation, venous access, and CTO procedures preferred
  • Experience with atherectomy and thrombectomy devices preferred
  • Temporary LVAD support experience preferred
  • Valid state license required if applicable
  • Copies of certifications and 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP studies, and interventional radiology procedures including embolizations, stent placements, and vascular interventions
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility, as no locals are accepted
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Only one time off request is permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee
  • Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year at this facility before requiring a 6-month break
  • Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccination records, not titers or declinations
