What You'll Do

    Safety & Culture - Non-Negotiable
    • Safety is E2 Optics' number one Core Value. All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures.
    • Actively lead and enforce all E2 Optics, client, general contractor, and project-specific safety requirements across assigned workfronts.
    • Maintain a highly visible field presence and reinforce safe work practices through continuous observation and engagement.

    • Hold Lead Technicians accountable for safe execution within their assigned crews.

    • Verify appropriate pre-task planning and hazard identification are occurring before work begins.

    • Immediately address unsafe conditions, behaviors, or work practices.

    • Coordinate with project safety personnel and the Superintendent to resolve significant safety concerns.

    • Ensure production pressure never supersedes safety requirements.

    • Promote a professional, accountable, inclusive, and high-performance field culture aligned with E2 Optics' Core Values.

  • Multi-Crew Field Execution Leadership

    • Direct the daily execution of approximately 3-5 Lead Technicians and their associated crews across assigned scopes, areas, buildings, floors, zones, or phases.

    • Maintain near-continuous presence in active work areas throughout the shift.

    • Ensure Lead Technicians understand the scope, priorities, sequence, production goals, and completion criteria for their assigned work.

    • Translate Superintendent direction and schedule requirements into clear, executable work packages for Lead Technicians.

    • Continuously walk active workfronts to validate that crews are working on the correct priorities and executing according to plan.

    • Reallocate manpower, resources, or workfronts as conditions change to protect production and schedule commitments.

    • Coordinate interfaces between crews to prevent stacking, congestion, access conflicts, or inefficient sequencing.

    • Identify execution problems early and resolve them at the field level whenever possible.

    • Escalate significant constraints to the Superintendent with clear facts, impacts, and recommended solutions.

    • Support hands-on field execution when necessary to understand conditions, demonstrate expectations, troubleshoot issues, or maintain production.

  • Production Planning & Control

    • Own production performance across assigned Leads and workfronts.

    • Establish daily production expectations for each Lead in alignment with the Superintendent's execution plan and project schedule.

    • Validate that production targets are realistic based on available manpower, access, materials, work conditions, and scope.

    • Monitor planned versus actual production continuously throughout the shift.

    • Identify crews or workfronts trending below plan and implement corrective actions before the end of the shift.

    • Evaluate crew composition, leadership effectiveness, installation methods, sequencing, and workfront readiness when production goals are not achieved.

    • Coordinate recovery actions with Lead Technicians and the Superintendent.

    • Ensure production reporting reflects actual installed and completed quantities rather than estimated progress.

    • Drive consistent execution discipline across all assigned Leads.

  • Production Tracking & Daily Actuals

    • Maintain accurate and timely production information for assigned scopes and workfronts.

    • Update required field production trackers with actual completed quantities at established reporting intervals.

    • Validate Lead Technician actuals before incorporating them into project reporting.

      • Daily production variance

      • Manpower by crew/workfront

      • Remaining quantities

      • Constraints and blockers

      • Material status

      • Workfront readiness

      • Recovery actions

    • Ensure reporting accurately represents field conditions and provides the Superintendent with reliable information for decision-making.

    • Identify trends in productivity performance and communicate concerns before they become schedule impacts.

    • Support shift-to-shift reporting and handoffs when projects operate multiple shifts.

  • Schedule Planning & Look-Ahead Development

  • Partner directly with the Superintendent to translate the project schedule into executable field plans.

  • Provide detailed field-level input into 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-week look-ahead planning.

    • Workfront availability

    • Predecessor completion

    • Access requirements

    • Material readiness

    • Required manpower

    • Required skill sets

    • Tools and equipment

    • Lift requirements

    • Testing requirements

    • Quality prerequisites

    • Trade dependencies

  • Identify discrepancies between the schedule and actual field conditions.

  • Assist with sequencing activities to maintain continuous productive workfronts for assigned crews.

  • Support development of daily and weekly production quantities necessary to achieve scheduled milestones.

  • Participate in pull planning, coordination meetings, schedule reviews, or other planning activities when requested by the Superintendent.

  • Support recovery planning when actual progress deviates from scheduled performance.

  • Ensure Lead Technicians understand how daily production expectations connect to upcoming milestones and look-ahead commitments.

  • Manpower Planning & Resource Allocation

    • Evaluate manpower requirements across assigned workfronts based on scheduled scope and production expectations.

    • Provide the Superintendent with accurate field-level manpower requirements and recommendations.

    • Continuously evaluate whether labor is appropriately distributed across active workfronts.

    • Rebalance crews when necessary to address changing priorities, constraints, production performance, or schedule requirements.

    • Identify skill gaps and communicate requirements for specialized or qualified personnel.

    • Support mobilization, reassignment, and demobilization planning.

    • Prevent excessive labor from being deployed into unavailable or constrained workfronts.

    • Ensure each Lead has an appropriately sized and skilled crew to execute the assigned scope.

  • Materials, Logistics & Workfront Readiness

    • Maintain forward visibility of material requirements across assigned workfronts.

    • Work with Lead Technicians to identify upcoming material needs before they become production constraints.

    • Coordinate with the Superintendent and logistics personnel regarding material availability, staging, delivery, and release priorities.

    • Validate that required materials are physically available before scheduled work begins.

    • Identify incorrect, damaged, missing, or delayed materials and drive resolution.

    • Coordinate staging strategies to support efficient crew execution without creating congestion or material-control issues.

    • Ensure tools, test equipment, lifts, consumables, and other required resources align with planned activities.

    • Maintain awareness of access restrictions and workfront readiness.

  • Quality & Execution Excellence

    • Maintain accountability for field quality across assigned Leads and crews.

    • Conduct frequent field inspections and Gemba walks to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, E2 Optics Quality Management Plans, manufacturer requirements, and client hyperscale standards.

    • Ensure Lead Technicians are performing first-level quality verification within their crews.

    • Identify recurring workmanship or installation issues and implement corrective actions.

    • Coordinate with Quality personnel to resolve findings and prevent recurrence.

    • Ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly and do not become embedded or repeated across multiple crews.

    • Support inspection readiness, commissioning, testing, punch-list closure, and turnover activities.
