As an Activity Assistant at Titusville Nursing and Rehab, you will play a crucial role in creating a engaging and enriching environment for our residents. As a key member of our recreational therapy team, you will design and implement activities that cater to their physical, emotional, and social needs, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, to stimulate resident participation and engagement

• Develop and maintain a calendar of events and activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents

• Assist with special events and celebrations, such as holiday parties, birthdays, and themed activities

• Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy Department to identify and address resident needs and preferences

• Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation

• Assist with inventory management and budgeting for recreational supplies and equipment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in recreational therapy or a related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
