Floor Tech

CareCore at Mentor is seeking a dependable and hardworking Floor Tech to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Schedule:

Full time 9:30am-6pm, with an every other weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care duties including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and polishing floors

• Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, and extraction as needed

• Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively

• Follow established cleaning schedules and infection control procedures

• Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed

• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly

• Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and hazard-free

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience preferred, especially in healthcare, long-term care, or commercial settings

• Knowledge of floor care equipment and cleaning chemicals

• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment as required

• Reliable attendance and positive attitude
