Job Description
About the role

Step onto an industrial/petrochemical project site where you set the tone. Your morning begins with a safety huddle, reviewing SLAM books and THAs, leading the stretching program, and confirming that every crew member understands the plan. With an iPad in hand, you track production, hours, and equipment in HCSS Heavy Job before heading into the field to coach the team.

What your day looks like
  • Lead on-site execution for assigned industrial/petrochemical civil work while serving as the primary field contact for the client.
  • Verify crews complete all required daily documentation: job reports, SLAM books, THAs, safety briefings, and stretching routines.
  • Use HCSS Heavy Job on iPad to capture production, labor hours, and equipment utilization in real time.
  • Plan upcoming activities across multiple crews to keep milestones on track and resources aligned.
  • Oversee safe, efficient operation of heavy equipment and installation of water, storm, and sewer piping/structures.
  • Guide concrete operations, including forming, pouring, and finishing to spec.
  • Ensure daily equipment inspections are performed and documented.
  • Direct and manage at least two crew members at the same time, providing clear direction and feedback.
  • Interface with clients, deliver progress updates to internal staff and the public, and travel between active sites as needed.
  • Procure materials, monitor build costs and progress, and prepare/review site reports, designs, and drawings.
  • Own quality control in the field, addressing issues proactively.
  • Provide hiring, promotion, and termination recommendations that carry significant weight in final decisions.
What you bring
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
  • Typical schedule averages five 10-hour days; final schedule set by project needs.
  • Willingness to work out of town, including out of state, for stretches dictated by the project.
Compensation and benefits
  • Pay up to $130,000
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
