Faith Over Fear Outreach Services LLC is seeking a Peer Coach/Outreach Specialist to support individuals and strengthen community connections in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position SummaryThe Peer Coach/Outreach Specialist provides compassionate, peer-led support to help individuals build confidence, navigate resources, and make meaningful progress toward their personal goals. In this onsite role, you will actively engage with program participants and serve as a trusted point of contact, combining empathy with practical outreach.
You will also contribute to outreach and engagement efforts by connecting people to available services and maintaining clear, respectful communication. Your work will support a safe, welcoming environment and reinforce the organization’s mission through consistent, relationship-centered engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one peer coaching and supportive engagement to help individuals identify goals, build coping strategies, and stay motivated.
Conduct outreach activities to connect community members to relevant programs and resources.
Maintain accurate participant notes and documentation to support continuity of care and program effectiveness.
Build trust through active listening, nonjudgmental communication, and consistency in follow-through.
Collaborate with internal team members to support referrals, engagement outcomes, and overall program needs.
Must be willing to submit to random drug tests and a background check.
Must have at least one year in recovery.
Experience providing peer support, coaching, mentorship, or direct service to individuals in a community or service setting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and engage respectfully with diverse individuals.
Ability to work onsite and in the community and manage time effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Basic familiarity with maintaining written records and completing routine documentation.
Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct when supporting others.
Experience working with individuals facing life challenges such as trauma, crisis, behavioral health needs, or social service barriers.
Familiarity with community outreach practices, referral coordination, and resource navigation.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a supportive service environment.
Training or lived experience related to peer support and coaching.
Demonstrated ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused during challenging interactions.
Hourly rate: $18.50
