Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator

Position: Warehouse Associate 

Department: Supply Chain

Base pay: $21.00 - $22.00

Report To: Logistics Supervisor

Schedule: Monday through Friday (Hours may vary based on business needs)

Classic Rock is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to join our Supply Chain team. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, staging, loading, and unloading manufactured stone products while ensuring customer orders are accurate and shipped safely.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy by verifying incoming shipments, preparing customer orders correctly, and completing all required shipping and receiving documentation. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and unload inbound shipments safely and efficiently. 
• Verify incoming shipments by confirming product quantities, descriptions, and condition against shipping documentation. 
• Accurately complete receiving paperwork and report any shortages, overages, or damaged material immediately. 
• Pick, pull, and stage customer orders accurately for shipment. 
• Load customer and company trucks safely while ensuring orders are complete, accurate, and properly secured. 
• Verify product quantities and order accuracy prior to shipment. 
• Complete all required shipping and receiving documentation accurately to support inventory integrity. 
• Assist with month-end physical inventory activities, including counting and recording finished stone and inventory materials. 
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment while following all company safety procedures. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and yard. 
• Work closely with Transportation, Customer Service, Inventory Management, and other Supply Chain team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. 
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. 
• Commitment to workplace safety. 
• Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. 

 Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience. 
• Experience receiving, verifying, picking, staging, loading, and shipping customer orders. 
• Experience completing shipping and receiving documentation. 
• Experience in the building materials, manufacturing, or distribution industry. 
• Basic computer skills. 

 Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 pounds. 
• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. 
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach. 
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
