Job Description
Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to join our team of healthcare professionals. The SDC plays a vital role in developing, evaluating, and maintaining high-quality in-service educational programs while providing education, training, and support to facility staff.
This position helps ensure our team remains knowledgeable, well-trained, and compliant with current standards of care, regulations, and facility policies and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, evaluate, and maintain the quality of in-service educational programs in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Provide education, in-service training, guidance, and support to facility staff.
Provide leadership in establishing goals and objectives for the facility's in-service educational programs.
Develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, and other resources related to educational programs.
Plan and conduct orientation programs for newly hired employees, including training on their positions, facility policies and procedures, resident rights, and responsibilities.
Develop, implement, and review ongoing educational programs for nursing staff.
Coordinate and implement continuing in-service training for all staff, including infection control, fall prevention, resident rights, and other required topics.
Assist with the evaluation of nursing staff during the orientation period and on an ongoing basis.
Maintain a continuing education program to stay current with new trends, practices, and procedures in nursing care.
Promote a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and quality resident care.
Current Licensed RN license in Vermont.
Excellent teaching and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to develop and deliver effective educational programs.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work collaboratively with nursing leadership and facility staff.
