Job Description
THRYVE of Crestwood is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the clinical operations of an assigned unit within our skilled nursing facility. The Unit Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care while providing leadership and support to nursing staff and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried
Oversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.
Supervise, coach, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to promote quality resident care.
Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and individualized care.
Conduct routine clinical rounds and address resident and family concerns.
Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update resident care plans.
Ensure accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
Assist with staffing, scheduling, employee performance, and accountability.
Support infection prevention, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Participate in audits, surveys, investigations, and quality improvement activities.
Provide ongoing guidance and education to nursing staff.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by nursing and facility leadership.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Previous experience as a Unit Manager, Nurse Supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
