Unit Manager

THRYVE of Crestwood is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the clinical operations of an assigned unit within our skilled nursing facility. The Unit Manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care while providing leadership and support to nursing staff and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.

Schedule: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.

  • Supervise, coach, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to promote quality resident care.

  • Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and individualized care.

  • Conduct routine clinical rounds and address resident and family concerns.

  • Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and update resident care plans.

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, employee performance, and accountability.

  • Support infection prevention, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

  • Participate in audits, surveys, investigations, and quality improvement activities.

  • Provide ongoing guidance and education to nursing staff.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by nursing and facility leadership.

Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

  • Previous experience as a Unit Manager, Nurse Supervisor, or similar leadership role preferred.

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care.
