Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma center, requiring ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.
Details
- Level I Trauma center setting
- CT Tech department performing diagnostic radiology and CT procedures
- Adult acute care patients including ED, ICU, and trauma populations
- High-volume department averaging 270-290 scans per day
- Night shift, 3x12 hours from 18:00-06:30
- Every fourth weekend and holidays as assigned
- Call required as part of staff rotation
- Uses GE and Toshiba/Cannon CT equipment
- Charts in EPIC EMR
- Travelers are first to float
Requirements
- 2+ years of CT experience required; less may be considered with Level I or II trauma experience
- Large hospital or Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT registration required (CT preferred, R required)
- BLS certification required
- OH state license required if applicable; pending license accepted
- Experience with GE and/or Toshiba/Cannon equipment required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
- Experience with coronary CTA and vascular CTA preferred
- Proficient in contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
Additional Information
- Performs diagnostic radiology and CT procedures following OhioHealth and ARRT guidelines
- Prepares patients for exams and positions them per department policy
- Provides radiation safety for both operator and patient
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces without a pass
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours
- Maximum 10 days RTO per contract; no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment
- Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- First-time travelers not considered for this role
