Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility, requiring a Missouri PT license and at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience.
Details
- Skilled nursing facility rehab department
- 13-week contract, Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Flexible start time between 6 AM and 10 AM as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
- No weekend work required unless a holiday falls Monday through Friday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- LTC or rehab setting experience required
- Active Missouri PT license required (compact license accepted)
- License required if applicable
- New graduates considered only if they completed a Level II clinical rather than a Level I observation experience
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, wound care, and use of assistive devices
- Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Communicates patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and the healthcare team
- Completes comprehensive discharge summaries and maintains accurate treatment documentation per regulatory standards
- Supervises and supports PTAs, rehab aides, and students as needed
- Participates in required patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
- Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
