Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility, requiring a Missouri PT license and at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience.

Details

  • Skilled nursing facility rehab department
  • 13-week contract, Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
  • Flexible start time between 6 AM and 10 AM as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
  • No weekend work required unless a holiday falls Monday through Friday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
  • LTC or rehab setting experience required
  • Active Missouri PT license required (compact license accepted)
  • License required if applicable
  • New graduates considered only if they completed a Level II clinical rather than a Level I observation experience
  • One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
  • Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
  • Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, wound care, and use of assistive devices
  • Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
  • Communicates patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and the healthcare team
  • Completes comprehensive discharge summaries and maintains accurate treatment documentation per regulatory standards
  • Supervises and supports PTAs, rehab aides, and students as needed
  • Participates in required patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
  • Adheres to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
  • No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
