Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist position in a hospital setting. This role involves performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, supporting interventional radiology, and utilizing specialized equipment within a magnet facility designated as a Level II Trauma center.
Job Details
- Certifications and Education: BLS, ACLS, ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist) or RCIS; required experience of at least 2 years in Cath Lab or related fields.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventional procedures including STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, structural heart interventions (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip), neurointervention, and various interventional radiology procedures such as embolizations and stroke thrombectomy. Support devices like EP, IR, vascular, neuro, temporary LVAD, and other specialized equipment.
- Certifications required: ACLS, ARRT (R) or RCIS, BLS.
- Additional qualifications: Experience with electrophysiology (EP), neuro, IR, Vascular, and Stroke interventions preferred, with proficiency in charting (Epic system).
- Clinical and operational details: Must be willing to work 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend, with some Saturday shifts included as part of the schedule. Candidate float within scope to meet facility needs, including possible coverage in IR and EP.
- Submission requirements: Valid state license (pending license accepted), references (2 recent within last 3 years), and copy of certifications.
