Cath Lab Technologist Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. This role requires providing high-quality patient care while performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in a catheterization lab setting. The position involves working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and maintained according to protocols.
- Provide support to the medical staff during interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and maintain accurate records throughout the procedure.
- Comfort patients and answer any questions to alleviate anxiety.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
- Float to cover interventional radiology (IR) and electrophysiology (EP) as needed.
This position is for the day shift, working three 12-hour shifts from 06:30 to 19:00. The schedule includes on-call responsibilities, with 6-8 on-call shifts required every six weeks, including one weekend per schedule. Every other weekend coverage may also be needed, along with required holiday shifts.
Qualifications- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a catheterization lab is required.
- Experience in interventional radiology (IR) and electrophysiology (EP) is preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT Radiography or CCI RCIS, along with a valid medical license, are required.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification is required.
- All employees must receive the influenza vaccine.
