Service Associate - Morning Shift PAY: $16-$17 including tips

Job description:

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Service Associate to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions efficiently, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Your duties will include greeting customers, operating the POS system accurately, answering menu questions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in hospitality or retail is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant.
• Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and specials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with their experience.
• Respond to guest complaints professionally and help resolve issues.
• Assist with fulfilling guest orders by boxing or bagging items.
• Ensure proper stickers are placed on orders for identification.
• Warm orders when necessary to ensure quality.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Communicate low stock levels of display case items to management.
• Update menus and inventory status in the POS system.
• Answer phone calls when needed.
• Handle various payment options including gift cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash.

Qualifications:

• Hospitality or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Supportive team player willing to assist colleagues as needed.
• Support from ServSafe or Food Handlers certification is required.
• Must adhere to uniform standards including non-slip shoes, neat clothing, and professional appearance.
