Regulatory Affairs Specialist (Food & Beverage)

? Remote
? Up to $33/hour (Contract)
? 12-Month Contract
? Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Permanent Salary Upon Potential Conversion: $60,000–$70,000 annually (based on experience)

We're seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join a leading food and flavor manufacturer. In this role, you'll provide regulatory and product safety documentation to customers while ensuring compliance with FDA, FEMA, and international regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a regulatory professional with experience in the food or flavor industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare customer regulatory documentation, including allergen, GMO, natural, organic, nutritional, country of origin, and FDA/FEMA-GRAS certifications.
  • Respond to customer regulatory requests and questionnaires.
  • Support compliance with FDA food regulations and customer-specific requirements.
  • Assist with USMCA certifications, Customs documentation, and tariff classifications.
  • Support TTB-related activities and other regulatory projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Business Support, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Help identify process improvements and ensure timely completion of customer requests.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 3–5 years of regulatory affairs experience within the food and/or flavor industry.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA food regulations and allergen requirements.
  • Experience preparing regulatory documentation and customer certifications.
  • USDA labeling experience is a plus.
  • Experience with TTB regulations, organic certifications, organic audits, or DMFs is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems; SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
