Job Summary The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for store-level positions and supporting recruiting efforts for non-store positions as needed. This role partners with General Managers, District Managers, Operations Leadership, and Human Resources to attract, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates while ensuring a positive candidate experience and consistent execution of the Company's recruiting strategy. The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a key resource in promoting and administering centralized recruiting initiatives, sourcing talent through multiple channels, and facilitating onboarding activities to support the Company's workforce objectives. Promote and abide by the high standards of GEI, and maintain regulatory and company compliances at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
• Manager full cycle recruiting for all store level positions and other positions as assigned and providing guidance and best practices to General Managers and Operations leadership team.
• Source qualified candidates through a variety of channels, including but not limited to online job boards, social media, employee referrals, job fairs, community outreach events, and career workshops.
• Track and report recruiting activity, including applicant flow, sourcing effectiveness, interviews conducted, offers extended, and hires completed.
• Build and maintain talent pools for all store level positions.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews via phone, video conferencing, or other approved interviewing platforms.
• Evaluate candidate qualifications and recommend candidates for advancement through the selection process.
• Facilitate reference checks and other pre-employment requirements in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.
• Prepare and coordinate employment offers and related hiring documentation.
Hiring Process Coordination
• Maintain candidate records and applicant tracking systems with accurate and timely updates.
• Communicate candidate status and interview outcomes to hiring managers and operational leadership.
• Partner with District Managers, Directors of Operations, Human Resources leadership, and other stakeholders to coordinate interviews and hiring decisions.
• Provide timely responses to candidate, managers, and employee inquiries regarding recruiting and hiring processes.
Talent Attraction & Employee Development
• In partnership with Operations leadership team and Human Resources organize and facilitate internal career events, job fairs, and development workshops designed to promote employee engagement, retention, and career advancement opportunities.
• Represent the Company at college, university, community, and industry recruiting events to strengthen talent pipelines.
• Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, workforce organizations, and community partners to support recruiting initiatives.
Onboarding & Orientation
• Support onboarding activities for newly hired employees, including orientation coordination and new hire documentation.
• Effectively conduct new hire orientation as needed and as per company guidelines.
• Coordinate the ordering and distribution of company-provided equipment, tools, or resources for new employees when applicable.
Other Responsibilities
• Participate in ongoing recruiting and talent acquisition initiatives designed to improve hiring outcomes and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and Company policies.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, retail operations, or related experience preferred. High-volume recruiting experience in multi unit retail environment is strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to evaluate candidates and make sound hiring recommendations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms preferred.
Ability to analyze, organize, audit, and verify information and data.
Must be able to travel up to all GEI locations as needed to meet the needs of the business.
