Licensed Optician

The Licensed Optician plays a vital role within a medium-sized team (4-7 members), reporting directly to the Optical Manager. This position involves working closely with both regular and walk-in members, utilizing a combination of manual and digital tools to ensure precise eyewear fitting and prescription accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in frame selection tailored to their needs and style
• Dispense lenses accurately based on prescriptions
• Conduct member consultations to clarify vision needs and preferences
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Perform fitting adjustments to ensure comfort and proper alignment
• Manage inventory and process eyewear orders efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all relevant optical regulations and standards
• Educate members on eyewear care and product options

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Optician REQUIRED
• 1+ years of experience in opticianry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in eyewear fitting and prescription lens interpretation
• Strong member service and communication skills
• Experienced in optical dispensing and inventory management
• Detail-oriented with excellent attention to detail
