Chief Financial Officer (FQHC - Brooklyn)

Our client, a mission driven Federally Qualified Health Center in Brooklyn, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy and operations during a period of significant growth. As the organization executes a bold five-year plan to expand, the CFO will serve as a key advisor to the executive team and board.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Planning: Lead financial strategy, forecasting, and long-term budgeting aligned with organizational goals.
• Financial Management: Oversee accounting, cash flow, investments, and financial reporting with a focus on accuracy and transparency.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations; implement risk management strategies to safeguard assets.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong internal controls and audit processes.
• Fundraising & Grants: Support grant management and fundraising efforts in collaboration with the development team.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular financial updates to the board, funders, and leadership.
• Human Resources (as applicable): Oversee payroll, benefits, and HR compliance related to financial operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA preferred.
• 8–10 years of senior financial leadership, ideally in an FQHC Healthcare environment
• Strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and understanding of healthcare operations.
