Construction Project Manager/Estimator

Commercial Property Management and Development company seeks a strong project manager/estimator to assist with shopping center remodels and maintenance, tenant buildouts, ground-up projects and property acquisition take-offs. Current properties/projects are in Collier, Lee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Highlands, Okeechobee, Hendry, and Palm Beach Counties.  The main office is location in LaBelle with a secondary office located in Palm Beach County.  Travel expense reimbursement stipend provided.

Candidate must;

·         Have reliable transportation to travel to various properties.

·         Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, estimating, a general contractor license is preferred.

·         Have knowledge of Florida Building Code, ADA and Life Safety.

·         Be proficient with a computer based on-screen takeoff system and must also be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer.

·         Capable of drafting online drawings for tenant layouts and buildouts.

·         Have the ability to comprehend and review drawings and plans, correspond with architects, engineers, construction code officials and other outside agencies, obtain bids from GCs and estimate costs and budget based on current conditions.

·         Have the ability to prepare agendas and timelines for each project.

·         Be able to gather accurate and current bids and/or estimates to assist in feasibility analysis.

·         Draft and negotiate construction, maintenance and vendor contracts.

·         Be able to participate in the planning of new projects, budgets, remodels, renovations and tenant buildouts.

·         Be able to travel to the various properties for pre-bid meetings and meetings with contractors, engineers, and construction crew and overseeing jobs during construction.

·         Be able to travel and oversee every aspect of construction, keep projects within budget and on schedule, keep projects within contract and compliance while maintaining quality control.

·         Work with the property manager to coordinate work orders and maintenance schedules with staff.

·         Hire maintenance staff as well as cleaning, landscape and various vendors as needed.

·         Be a team player and able to work with the owners, property manager, leasing department and maintenance staff.

·         Ability to provide weekly reports to management.

Our full-time employee benefits include: A competitive compensation package, annual bonus, 401k match up to 4%, 7 paid holidays, up to 2 weeks of vacation for each full year of employment through year 6, after year 6 you are entitled to 3 weeks of vacation, up to 40 hours of paid sick time and 8 hours of personal time each calendar year and health insurance is pending.
