Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Class B CDL Driver to operate a 26' stake-bed truck and, as needed, an F-250 with an automatic transmission. The driver will deliver materials such as pipe, valves, fittings, and related products to customers.
This position is approximately 75% driving and 25% warehouse work. Deliveries may be up to 3 hours from the branch. The role is physically demanding and requires lifting up to 50 lbs., loading and unloading materials, and assisting with warehouse operations.
All company trucks are equipped with camera monitoring systems.
Minimum Requirements- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at minimum.
- Must have held a CDL for at least one year.
- Must have at least one year of experience operating the class of vehicle assigned while employed with *** Enterprises, Inc.
- Must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of Non-Excepted Interstate and provide proof.
- Must meet all applicable DOT requirements and regulations.
- Must be able to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to perform physical warehouse and delivery duties.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed.
- Deliver materials safely and on schedule according to supervisor instructions.
- Confirm and validate delivery directions before departing.
- Properly secure all materials and ensure loads remain within legal weight limits.
- Load and unload materials as required.
- Verify that all materials have been delivered and placed at the designated delivery location.
- Obtain the customer's signature on the delivery ticket and print the customer's name when necessary.
- Ensure all delivery tickets and required documentation are completed accurately and returned to the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Fuel vehicles as necessary.
- Comply with all DOT standards, regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, moving violations, or other vehicle-related issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain communication with the supervisor throughout the workday.
- Prepare and stage materials for delivery.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and transfer vehicles.
- Assist with material picking and put-away.
- Assist with warehouse cycle counts.
- Pick up customer returns and verify that returned products match the request for credit.
- Pick up local-pickup purchase orders.
- Secure and return packing lists and other required documentation.
- Review completed deliveries with the supervisor to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Represent the company professionally and provide quality customer service at all times.
- Follow company uniform requirements.
- Follow all company policies, rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by branch management.
- Duties and responsibilities may vary based on branch size, location, and operational needs.
This is a physically demanding position requiring frequent driving, loading and unloading materials, warehouse work, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Employees must be able to safely perform these duties while following all applicable safety requirements.
Overtime may be required based on business needs.
