Numerical Control Programmer / Manufacturing Engineering Specialist
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Numerical Control and Manufacturing Engineering professional with experience in CNC programming, machining, aerospace tooling, and manufacturing processes. This role develops and verifies machine control data, creates manufacturing documentation, and supports the production and inspection of aerospace parts, tools, and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), machining geometry, and manufacturing documentation for numerically controlled equipment.
- Create and modify 3D models from 2D engineering drawings.
- Establish manufacturing, machining, and producibility requirements.
- Support CNC machining and programming activities across a variety of equipment and manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement new machining techniques, manufacturing methods, processes, software, and equipment.
- Support aerospace tooling, fixture design, and manufacturing processes.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements.
- Work with Photo Contact Masters (PCM) and mylar documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to resolve technical and machining issues.
- Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation meet quality, engineering, and production requirements.
- Work independently under general direction while supporting complex manufacturing projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience in numerical control, CNC programming, machining, manufacturing engineering, or a similar field.
- Experience with CATIA/ENOVIA.
- Experience with IVT and REDARS.
- Ability to create 3D models from 2D drawings.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience with aerospace tooling and fixture design.
- Knowledge of machining processes, CNC equipment, and manufacturing methods.
- Experience working with technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; additional experience may substitute for education.
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience developing or revising Machine Control Data (MCD).
- Experience with PCM and mylar processes.
- Experience supporting new machining technologies and manufacturing process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
