LeakSecure is seeking an organized and dependable Bookkeeper to support the Chief Financial Officer with day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure the company’s books remain current and well organized. This is a hybrid job role.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and experienced with accounting software and standard bookkeeping practices. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Record and categorize daily financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records.
  • Process vendor bills and customer payments.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and send customer invoices.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment platforms, and other financial accounts.
  • Track outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Maintain vendor records, W-9 forms, receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with employee expense reports and reimbursements. 
  • Help prepare weekly cash-balance and receivables reports for the CFO
  • Support monthly and year-end financial close processes.
  • Assist with payroll administration and payroll record keeping. 
  • Coordinate with the company’s CPA, tax professionals, payroll provider, and outside accounting partners. 
  • Help prepare documentation for audits, tax filings, insurance reviews, and financial reporting.
  • Identify transaction discrepancies and bring them to the CFO’s attention. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and employee financial information.


Qualifications

  • Two or more years of bookkeeping or accounting-support experience.
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting platform.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines and maintain accurate records.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion.


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Experience supporting a startup, small business, technology company, or product-based business.
  • Familiarity with inventory, purchase orders, sales tax, or subscription billing.
  • Experience working directly with a CFO, controller, or outside CPA.


Success in This Role

Success will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, completion of monthly reconciliations, organization of supporting documentation, reduction of overdue receivables, and the quality of financial information provided to the CFO.
