Ellicott City Pediatric Associates is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to join our thriving, well-established pediatric practice in beautiful Ellicott City, Maryland.


Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to provide comprehensive healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in pediatric medicine, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment. This role involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of pediatric health issues, promoting preventive care, and supporting families through education and guidance. The Pediatrician will play a vital role in fostering healthy growth and development among young patients while working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and health assessments, for pediatric patients across various age groups.
  • Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Develop personalized care plans that emphasize preventive health measures such as immunizations, screenings, and health education.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using our Electronic Health Record system (Office Practicum)
  • Educate families about health maintenance, developmental milestones, nutrition, and disease prevention strategies.
  • Manage acute care needs within outpatient settings while ensuring patient safety and comfort during visits.
  • Stay current with advances in pediatric medicine through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of pediatric residency training; post-residency experience preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice pediatrics in Maryland.
  • Proven experience providing primary care services within outpatient clinics or hospital settings.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare diagnosis, immunizations, growth monitoring, and developmental assessments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including nurses, specialists, and support staff.
  • Excellent communication skills tailored to engaging with children and their families respectfully and empathetically.
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered care aligned with HIPAA regulations and best practices in healthcare standards.
