Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1+ years of acute care and inpatient experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital unit treating adult patients
- Primary patient population includes orthopedic, neurologic, ICU, and oncology cases
- Day shift schedule, 8:00am-4:30pm, with Wednesdays 10:00am-6:30pm
- Very limited weekend requirements
- Epic charting system experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- Inpatient experience required for consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- MA state license required if applicable
- Adult patient population experience across ortho, neuro, ICU, and oncology
- Skilled in assessment, gait training, ROM, and therapeutic techniques for orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Experience with adaptive/assistive devices, mobility equipment, and safety techniques
- Strong documentation skills including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination across a variety of diagnoses
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled
- Local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius at same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of requested time off may be considered for review, with none permitted in the first week
- First-time travelers may be considered
