Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a cardiac interventional radiology setting featuring structural heart procedures.

Details

• Cardiac interventional radiology room with structural heart capabilities
• 3 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 15
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
• Call required, 3 call shifts per two-week period
• Weekend call rotation required approximately every 6 weeks
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience required
• California CLS license required and must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• CA CRRT state license required
• ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
• CCI RCIS certification preferred
• Compact license must be in hand at submission
• Experience with venous access, central line care, and vascular closure systems
• Skilled in procedural responsibilities including sterile field maintenance, equipment setup, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred
• Carotid angiography and stenting experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, structural heart interventions, and related vascular studies
• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella placement/removal, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Only 1 submission allowed system-wide within Providence facilities at a time
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
