Pay: $28.00 per hour.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving compressors, motors, controls, thermostats, pumps, and related equipment.
- Test system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and VAV systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and control drawings.
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on HVAC equipment.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including EPA requirements.
- Complete work orders, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and facility personnel as needed.
- Respond to emergency service calls and support after-hours needs when required.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OSHA, company, and client safety policies.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and energy-efficiency improvements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid HVAC Technician License required.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Experience servicing commercial and industrial equipment.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- HVAC/R Certification.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Knowledge of energy management systems.
- Additional trade experience in electrical, plumbing, or controls.
- Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, aviation, education, or commercial facilities environments.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access mechanical spaces.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls and work flexible schedules.
