Machinist I - Now Hiring

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

As a Machinist I, you'll play a key role in manufacturing, modifying, repairing, and finishing mechanical components to exact specifications and tolerances.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machine shop equipment, including:
  • Lathes
  • Milling machines
  • Drill presses
  • Grinders
  • Saws
  • Other machining equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, specifications, and work orders.
• Select the appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining methods for each project.
• Perform machining operations including:
  • Turning
  • Milling
  • Drilling
  • Boring
  • Grinding
  • Threading
• Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.
• Make machine and tooling adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify machining defects and take corrective action following established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous machining experience or completion of a machining-related technical training program

Working knowledge of:

• Machine shop practices, Materials and tooling, Precision measurement techniques
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
