Now Hiring: CNC Machinist

Preferred Quality Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. If you're someone who enjoys working with different parts, solving machining problems, and taking pride in producing precision components, this could be a great opportunity.

This is a job shop environment, so you'll have the chance to work on a variety of projects instead of producing the same part every day. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of setups, make adjustments, inspect their own work, and consistently meet quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.

• Prepare machines for production, including tooling, work holding, and offsets.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD models.

• Make adjustments to programs, tooling, and offsets during production.

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and machine controls.

• Inspect parts throughout the machining process to ensure they meet specifications.

• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and dimensional issues.

• Monitor tool wear and make necessary adjustments or replacements.

• Improve machining processes, cycle times, and tool life when possible.

• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

• Follow company safety procedures and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.

• Strong CNC setup experience.

• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or both.

• Mastercam experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.

• Ability to make machine, tooling, offset, and program adjustments independently.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience using precision measuring equipment.

• Comfortable working independently in a job shop environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
