Tig Welder

(New Orleans,LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a highly skilled **Welder** to join our team. This position is responsible for performing precision structural and pipe welding on a variety of materials, including plate, pipe, copper nickel, and other specialty alloys. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with TIG and MIG welding processes, can interpret blueprints and welding specifications, and consistently produces high-quality work in a production or marine environment while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Essential Duties:

* Perform precision welding on plate, pipe, and copper nickel materials using TIG and MIG welding processes.

* Execute structural and pipe welds in accordance with applicable AWS and ASME codes and project specifications.

* Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding.

* Perform fit-up, fabrication, and layout of components prior to welding.

* Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met while minimizing rework.

* Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

* Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.

* Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements/Skills:

* 3–7+ years of professional welding experience in a production, industrial, or marine environment.

* Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding, including structural and pipe applications.

* Experience welding plate, pipe, and copper nickel materials.

* Ability to pass 3G and 4G welding tests; 6G certification or the ability to pass a 6G weld test is strongly preferred.

* Strong fabrication, layout, and fit-up skills.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.

* Thorough understanding of AWS and ASME welding standards and procedures.

* Strong attention to detail with a proven record of producing quality workmanship.

* Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

* Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and other industrial conditions.

* Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

* Sufficient vision, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination to perform precision welding tasks safely and accurately.
