Job Description
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of commercial P&C insurance experience, an active Florida 2-20 license, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of accounts, renewals, endorsements, certificates, and client requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a book of commercial insurance accounts alongside assigned producers.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for clients regarding account service needs.
- Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance (COIs), auto ID cards, and renewals accurately and on time.
- Review policies and fleet lists for accuracy, coverage gaps, and compliance before binding.
- Coordinate with carriers and underwriters on quoting, binding, renewals, and policy servicing.
- Support producers by preparing renewal proposals, marketing submissions, and coverage comparisons.
- Assist clients with claims coordination, including follow-up with adjusters, carriers, and repair shops as needed.
- Ensure accurate client billing and follow up on premium collections.
- Maintain accurate and complete client records within the agency management system.
- Ensure account correspondence, documentation, and files are properly maintained.
- Prepare regular reports for clients and producers as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client and producer calls and emails.
- Identify potential rounding and cross-selling opportunities and communicate them to producers.
- Help improve service processes and workflows as the agency continues to scale.
- Support the agency's transition toward a more efficient and paperless work environment.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and responsiveness across all assigned accounts.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an Account Manager, CSR, or similar position within a commercial insurance agency or brokerage.
- Active Florida 2-20 insurance license – Required.
- Working knowledge of commercial P&C insurance, including:
- Commercial Auto
- General Liability
- Workers' Compensation
- Umbrella/Excess
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of accounts and competing deadlines.
- Experience managing renewals, endorsements, COIs, policy changes, and other account servicing activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and customer-focused approach when communicating with clients, producers, carriers, and underwriters.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and OneDrive.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Transportation insurance experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AMS360, DocuSign, and InsuredMine.
- Experience supporting Amazon DSP or FedEx ISP insurance programs.
- Familiarity with commercial property, construction, or aviation risks.
- Experience supporting producers within a fast-growing insurance agency or brokerage.
