Job Description
The Senior Quality Engineer provides leadership for quality systems, product validation, and continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to ensure products and processes consistently meet design specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements. Responsibilities include leading advanced quality planning efforts, driving root cause investigations, supporting new product and process qualification activities, maintaining compliance with the quality management system, and mentoring quality team members. What You Will Do:
- Lead advanced quality planning activities and support product and process qualification efforts
- Develop and maintain quality plans, control plans, risk assessments, and quality performance metrics
- Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving tools
- Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements and support internal and external audits
- Monitor quality trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement preventive measures to reduce defects
- Partner with engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and improve process performance
- Standardize quality tools, procedures, and best practices across manufacturing operations
- Mentor quality team members and guide quality methodologies and problem-solving techniques
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience supporting Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation with at least 2 years of practical application experience
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plans, and process validation methodologies
