Location: Altavista, VA (24517)
Employment Type: 12-month contract, Full-Time (W2)
Pay Rate: $14.50–$16.55/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Role Overview:
BEPC is seeking a dependable Forklift Driver I (2nd Shift) to support our client’s operations in Altavista, VA. In this role, you will operate powered industrial trucks and lifting equipment to safely load, move, and transport materials throughout the facility. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to gain or expand hands-on experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered industrial trucks.
- Safely operate forklifts and other lifting devices to move and position materials.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the facility.
- Follow established safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and materials while operating machinery.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional material-handling duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–1 year of previous relevant experience.
- Previous forklift, warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment and follow established procedures.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Dependable and able to work the full second-shift schedule.
