Title: Lead Manufacturing Technician

Schedule:

M-F, 6:30am – 3pm


Description:
The Lead Manufacturing Technician supports the Supervisor by assigning daily duties to technicians and monitoring processes and personnel within the manufacturing area. This role ensures compliance with SOPs, cGMP requirements, safety procedures, and accurate in-process documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with training technicians and maintaining training documentation.
  • Coordinate daily operations and distribute tasks to technicians.
  • Follow up on assigned tasks to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure production activities are completed within specified timelines.
  • Follow and enforce procedures related to production, facilities, and equipment.
  • Promote and enforce cGMP compliance by routinely inspecting facilities and equipment.
  • Perform audits of production documentation to ensure real-time and accurate documentation.
  • Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
  • Conduct on-the-job training related to procedures, equipment, and process principles.
  • Enforce department safety rules and procedures.
  • Address complaints and help resolve employee-related issues in collaboration with department management and Human Resources.


Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate, guide, train, coach, and develop team members while maintaining a positive team atmosphere.
  • Two years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMPs, FDA regulations, and applicable industry guidelines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and highly detail-oriented.
  • Ability to maintain neat, accurate, and complete records and logs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced, changing, and critical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze details and make structured decisions on a daily basis.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Occupational Demands

  • Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to four hours at a time.


Experience

  • 3–4 years of experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biologics, biotechnology, or medical device industry preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
