Patient Care Coordinator – Float
Base Location: 5 Neponset Street, Worcester, MA
Float Locations: Worcester, Holden, Leominster, and Shrewsbury
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Interview: In-Person
Contract: 08/03/2026 to 10/30/2026 (Change upon hire / 3 Month Contract)
Pay Rate: $19/hr (Paid Weekly)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support laboratory and radiology services across multiple Reliant Medical Group locations. This is a float position, with Worcester serving as the primary work location. The employee may be assigned to Holden, Leominster, or Shrewsbury to provide coverage for scheduled time off, sick calls, and other staffing needs.
The position plays an important role in ensuring patients are directed to the appropriate department and that laboratory and radiology orders are accurately processed and released through Epic.
Key Responsibilities
- Check patients in for laboratory and radiology services.
- Triage patients and direct them to the appropriate department or service.
- Review and release laboratory and radiology orders through Epic.
- Request missing orders or documentation when necessary.
- Verify that patient information and orders are accurate and complete.
- Prepare imaging CDs for patient pickup.
- Coordinate with Quest staff and clinical departments to facilitate patient services.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established workflows and procedures.
- Travel between assigned locations as needed to provide staffing coverage.
- Perform other administrative and patient-support duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare and/or customer service experience and be comfortable working independently. Epic experience is highly preferred. Because this role involves working independently approximately 80% of the time, the successful candidate should be dependable, organized, adaptable, and capable of managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional and patient-focused demeanor.
- Ability and willingness to float between multiple locations.
- No professional license or certification required.
