Special Education Teacher - Akron, Ohio

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio K–12 Intervention Specialist License required
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and areas of growth
• Provide direct instruction in a variety of settings, adapting material to meet differing academic and developmental needs
• Foster a positive, engaging classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers to optimize student outcomes
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed for continued improvement
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings to stay updated on best practices and regulatory guidelines

Details:

• Contract position beginning August 2026 and concluding June 2027
• Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
