Looking to make your next career move? We’re seeking a Human Resources Manager to work at a premier manufacturing organization in Newburyport, MA. This is a fully onsite role.

- Work closely with leadership and employees to drive impactful HR initiatives.
- Make a difference by building strong workplace relationships and supporting business objectives.
- Leading all day-to-day HR operations, including payroll administration, onboarding, employee records, HR systems, and reporting.
- Managing the full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new talent.
- Partnering with managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
- Serving as a trusted resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace concerns, and investigations.
- Maintaining a strong presence throughout the office and production areas.
- Leading performance management, employee development, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
- Developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Administering benefits, supporting open enrollment, and assisting with compensation planning and benchmarking.
- Coordinating training and development initiatives, including safety training.
- Supporting workers’ compensation, return-to-work processes, OSHA compliance, and workplace safety programs.
- Collaborating with leadership and operations to continuously improve HR processes and employee engagement.
- Have 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities (Required).
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred).
- Possess strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
- Bring experience in manufacturing, woodworking, construction, or similar hands-on environments (Preferred).
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Are able to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
- (Preferred) Hold SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- (Preferred) Have experience processing weekly union and non-union payroll.
- (Preferred) Have experience working in a small to mid-sized or family-owned business.
