Job Description
Make an impact in early childhood education as a Special Education Teacher, working part-time with a focus on PreK and Kindergarten learners. Key Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention Certificate (Birth–5)
- Strong grasp of special education procedures, compliance, and state regulations
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Familiarity with PreK and Kindergarten curriculum and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
- Previous classroom experience with young learners in special education is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction based on IEPs for PreK/Kindergarten students
- Develop and modify lesson plans to address each student’s unique needs
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, updating IEP goals as needed
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain required records and paperwork in compliance with all guidelines
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
