Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager for grades 6 through 8. This full-time contract opportunity offers a supportive environment where your skills and dedication will help shape academic and personal growth for students with diverse learning needs. With a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students, you’ll have the chance to provide personalized instruction while collaborating closely with fellow educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification in Special Education (state requirements apply)
- Previous experience teaching or case managing students in grades 6-8 preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with educators, parents, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive educational environment
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Serve as a case manager, maintaining thorough records and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Work directly with students in both individual and small group settings to address academic, behavioral, and social goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and classroom strategies
- Communicate student progress to parents and participate in IEP meetings
- Employ a variety of evidence-based strategies to promote student engagement and success
This is a full-time position, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., providing you with a balanced workweek and the time to focus on creating meaningful educational experiences.
