Concrete Carpenter

About this role

Join a heavy-civil/commercial concrete team in Atlanta, GA as a Concrete Carpenter. You'll read layout, build, set, and strip form systems for sidewalks, pads, grade beams, walls, decks and stairs on a large commercial project. This role requires hands-on formwork skills and a strong safety focus. You will work with minimal supervision, complete required safety documentation, use personal fall arrest systems, and help coordinate with other trades on site. Ideal candidates have proven commercial formwork experience and the ability to move quickly while keeping the work area safe and organized.

What you'll do

• Read layout and set form systems for sidewalks, pads, grade beams, walls, decks and stairs from plan layout
• Build, secure, strip and rebuild wall and deck form systems safely and to specification
• Perform layout tasks (transfer levels, offsets, set points) and basic blueprint reading
• Complete Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs and follow site safety procedures, including personal fall arrest systems
• Operate common hand and power tools; maintain clean and organized work areas
• Work with minimal supervision and assist other trades as needed to keep the schedule moving

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of commercial concrete formwork or carpenter experience on large projects
• Proven ability to read drawings and perform layout (levels, offsets, set points)
• Experience identifying and assembling gangform/modular and conventional form systems and components
• Comfort using hand and power tools (saws, drills, demolition hammers, measuring devices)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs), squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces; able to work night shifts when required
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite and dependable attendance

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+ and proof of identity/employment authorization
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to site
• Completion of site fall protection / PFAS training or willing to complete required training
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Ability to pass site onboarding requirements (safety orientation and any required site checks)
